Tasty Salmon Cat Treats

1/3 cup canned salmon or mackerel, drained
1 cup dried bread crumbs
1 large egg, beaten
1 tablespoon bacon grease or vegetable oil
½ teaspoon active dry yeast

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix together all of the ingredients, and drop small spoonfuls on a baking sheet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake the cat treats for approximately 7 minutes, or until they are lightly browned. After the cat treats have cooled for several minutes, transfer them to a wire rack. When the cat treats are completely cool, place them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

  2. sildenfail, obviously you have nothing better to do with your time than flame people. If you don't like what is on here then don't write or come on here. I have news for you jerk, my cats mean more to me and love me more than any person. Now go feed all those people you whine about.

I think these recipes are great and I feed my cats salmon and tuna whenever I have it. That goes for crab and shrimp also.

  3. actually if all people went vegetarian and ate no meat it would put an end to world hunger, so cats eating salmon has nothing to do with it. its selfish, misinformed people that contribute to others being hungry.

  4. Great recipe, thank you. I have a tin of salmon in the fridge that I half opened because the tin was too tough for the can opener. Once I wrench it open I'm gonna make these for my kitties for christmas. I think the dogs will like them too. :)
